The organizers of the Cross of the North cyclocross race have made the difficult decision to postpone the 10th rendition of the race until 2021. Holding the race during the ongoing pandemic would have been logistically difficult due to event restrictions understandably imposed by both the Colorado and Larimer County Department of Health. It also would have been risky, both financially and with regards to racer health.

The race, which widely considered to be among the best on the Colorado calendar, was originally slated to take place at New Belgium Brewing on November 7th and 8th.

Official Announcement below.

After assessing the situation and consulting with New Belgium, we have decided that the risks of putting on the race this year outweigh the potential benefits. We did not make this decision easily, as we were very much looking forward to bringing you the tenth Cross of the North. However, that will have to wait until 2021…and you better believe that will be a party!

We understand that some races may happen this year, and we wish them the best of luck. If you choose to race, we wish you the best of luck, too! No matter what you decide, we hope you stay safe and healthy. We’ll see you soon.
