boarder

On August 29th, Kyle Wester, a downhill skateboarder, set a new world record for speed at an “undisclosed location” in our backyard.  Kyle launched his Santa Cruz board down one of our favorite road descents at an astounding 89.4mph, shattering the previous WR of 81.17 mph.  A previous but not the current WR of 80.83 was also set on that same descent in 2010. They intentionally don’t mention what hill they are on but we all know it well and I’m not going to be the one to publicly let that cat out of the bag. I think the fastest I’ve ever hit was 62mph many, many years ago.

2016 World Record- 89.4mph

2010 World Record 80.83mph
