Arboretum Coffee, a new and vibrant addition to the Fort Collins community, is excited to announce the grand opening of its coffee shop on January 22, 2024 at 221 W Prospect Road #100! We are right on the Mason Trail on Prospect and College, and with discounts for those cycling or taking public transportation and a standing espresso bar to boot, we will be a great spot to start and finish group rides and workouts.
Arboretum Coffee is not just about brewing exceptional coffee; it’s a social enterprise committed to community empowerment. Our mission is to use excellent coffee and goods to cultivate loving, flourishing communities with refugee youth, families, and other immigrants in a dignified and restful space that enables each person to thrive holistically. At the heart of our operation is a 12-month paid apprenticeship program for refugee and immigrant youth, focusing on leadership development, essential barista skills, and community-building through on-the-job training, classes in customer service and the workplace, financial literacy, and career preparation, and one-on-one mentorship. By providing high-quality coffee, equipping youth in needed skills, and promoting cultural exchange, we work to address the needs of refugees while enriching the local community. Our social enterprise model offers apprenticeship and holistic development programs to empower refugees and break down barriers to employment.
Huckleberry Roasters, known for its commitment to quality and sustainability, will be the exclusive coffee provider at Arboretum Coffee. This partnership ensures that every cup served reflects the highest standards of craftsmanship and ethical sourcing.
Beyond offering great coffee, Arboretum Coffee is a space designed for connection and growth. From community events and workshops to mentorship opportunities, we strive to foster an environment where individuals can thrive personally and professionally.
“We’re thrilled to bring Arboretum Coffee to Fort Collins and to create a space where great coffee meets community empowerment,” says Hannah Norris, Executive Director of Arboretum Coffee. “Our commitment to social impact, through our apprenticeship program and community initiatives, alongside truly excellent coffee sets us apart, and we can’t wait to share this vision with the Fort Collins community.”
Join us on January 22, 2024, as we open our doors to Fort Collins and embark on a journey of community, empowerment, and exceptional coffee!
