A couple big cycling events this month need your volunteer help.
Tooth or Consequences
The Tooth or Consequences Mountain Bike Race and Festival is looking for volunteer help for the weekend of Sept 29th and 30th. 2018 Bicyclist and Pedestrian Counts
We are looking for volunteers for our annual September Bicyclist and Pedestrian Count. This is an exciting opportunity to generate the data needed to prioritize future improvements for those who walk and ride bikes in our community. This project supports our community’s commitment to making active transportation a viable transportation option for our growing city. We’re excited to add new count locations in 2018 featuring the new connector trails to Loveland.
This year’s counts are Tuesday Sept. 11, Thursday Sept. 13, and Saturday Sept. 15. We are looking for volunteers to fill a nearly 200 2-hour shifts at several different intersections and trail locations throughout Fort Collins. Volunteers are welcome to work more than one 2-hour shift if they’d like! We are also asking volunteers to attend a brief but required training session Sept. 4 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Upon signing up for a shift, you will automatically be signed up for this training session. Food will be provided.
Volunteers who complete the counts will also get a chance to win one of many Downtown Business Association gift cards and other prizes!
We’re changing the platform that we recruit volunteers on. Now, you’ll visit Engage, the City of Fort Collins volunteer portal. You can follow the links to access the 2018 Bicyclist and Pedestrian Counts:
