Jim Dickerson’s 2105 Boardman Air TTE is a combination of state of the art technology and tried and true tt equipment. Time saving features where it counts, dollar saving features where it doesn’t. The aero frame with integrated cockpit, seat post, brakes, fork and hidden cables save seconds yet the the Ultegra cranks and Dura Ace 10 speed shifters and derailleurs save hundreds of dollars yet realistically dont affect performance.
Interestingly, at 5’10” Dickerson rides a small Boardman, “The Boardman has 51 cm top with a tallish headtube and steeper seat tube… So I have seat all the way back adding to top tube length and I didn’t want the front end up another 2 cm by going with a medium… In the end I am a MUCH better fit on the small that I would have been on a medium.”
Have a look at his full build below. He’ll be racing States in August and is taking a crack at the 40k record in Moriarty NM New Mexico in Sept.
