TSEBRTime is running out for Fort Collins resident, 1st City Cycling Team member and CSU grad student, Matt Carnal to raise registration fees for the Red Bull Trans-Siberian Extreme bike race. The grueling 4k mile race across Siberia will take place this summer and will cost Matt an estimated $60k in registration, gear and travel expenses. Matt needs to pay half of the $20k registration fee by 01/31/2017 or he’ll be removed from the start list. He’s secured product sponsorship from SRM, Rudy Project and Swiftwick and cash donations for about $3k so far via his GoFundMe account. Matt has won international Strava distance challenges (3347k miles in a month) and ridden across the country on a fixed gear so he’s got the experience he just needs the funding.

Obviously this is a big deal for Matt as he was the only American selected to take part but it will also fun for the NoCo cycling community to watch him race across Siberia.
