FoCo Fondo Weekend Schedule

Beginner/Intermediate Youth MTB Camp

Wyoming Mountain Bike Camps, Inc and Scheels are hosting a youth MTB camp on July 22nd and 23rd. The camp is focused on beginner and intermediate riders aged 6-14. Cost is $25.00 and you get a $10.00 gift card to Scheels. Saturday is at Scheels, Sunday is at Spring Canyon.

The Road Less Sunburned

There are few better feelings than finishing a hard ride, sweat on your face, sun on your skin with a nice tailwind as you speed through scenic landscapes.  Although cycling does have numerous health benefits, sun exposure from cycling is not without risk.

Stout Connector Trail Opens

The new Stout Connector Trail is now open in Horsetooth Mountain Open Space. The new section is 1.3 total miles long and provides a much more fun connection between Stout and Nomad trails, avoiding the lower section of Towers.

FtC’s Cummins Makes Worlds Team

USA Cycling announced that Fort Collins' own Oliva Cummins has made the 2023 USA Worlds Track Team.

OMBA Trail Talks- July

Overland Mountain Bike Association will host its monthly Trail Talks at Drake Cycles on Tuesday July 11th. 

North South Departs Fort Collins Friday

The North South Bikepacking race is set to roll out from Fort Collins' Lee Martinez Park on Friday at 6am. The 609-mile self-supported gravel race (similar to the CTR) with roughly  52,150 feet of elevation gain will end in Trinidad, CO.  NoCo has five racers on the start list.

City Streets Criterium Series

The City Streets Criterium Series hosted by the First City Cycling Team begin Tuesday July 11th and continue for six Tuesdays. The schedule has been changed up a bit from previous years, make sure you check the flyer for your updated race times. NEW to this year is the Women's Only category (although Women are not restricted from entering other categories as well). Volunteers are needed and appreciated.

Bike to Work (or Wherever) Day 2023

Every June, Colorado celebrates Bike Month and here in Fort Collins, we love anything that highlights and promotes people who ride bicycles. Bike to Work (or Wherever) Day, is planned for Wednesday, June 28, 2022- the 35th year.

FoCo Fondo June Training Ride

The FoCo Fondo June training ride is coming up on Sunday, June 18th with two routes. The 90-mile route leaves from New Belgium at 9am (meeting at 830 if you please). The 37-mile route is rolling from the Forks around 9am. If you are doing the shorter route, carpooling is strongly encouraged. Meet at the New Belgium Matrix lot at 7:45am to Hitch-A-Ride or help others do so if you have room.

YGR advertiser and nationally ranked age group triathlete Bryan VanMeveren of the VanMeveren Law Group recently updated his book, Your Guide to Road Cycling Safety in Colorado.
