Specialized to Takeover TREK Locations

YGR has confirmed that Incycle, a subsidiary of Specialized Bicycles, will open three bike shops in the former corporate TREK Bicycle locations here in Fort Collins and Loveland. According to the Incycle website, the shops will open at 202 Laurel St and 931 E Harmony Rd, in Fort Collins and 4880 Thompson Pkwy in Loveland/Johnstown "soon".

2023 One Speed Open

The 2023 edition of the One Speed Open will take place on Sunday, June 11th at 10am. The OSO is the OG NoCo gravel event, first taking place in 2005. V1 was a fundraiser so the legend, Rafael Millan-Garcia could head back to Mexico to visit his ailing father. The lowkey grassroots gravel race has happened more or less every year since.

OMBA Happy Hour | Trail Talks

Overland Mountain Bike Association will host their monthly Trail Talks at The Mayor on Thursday, June 8th.  This month's discussion will include work being conducted on Roaring Creek.

Ciclismo Coaching High School MTB Program

Registration is open for Ciclismo Coaching's  Colorado High School Cycling League program.
"This is an inclusive community program. Over the last 13 years of coaching high school, we have created a community where athletes of all levels are welcome to participate, progress, and develop as humans. Whether your goal is to finish your first high school mountain bike race or to win the state championship, our coaches are here to help! We have a lot of fun too!"

The Engine Inside Screening

The Engine Inside is premiering in Fort Collins on June 29 at the Lyric Cinema. The Engine Inside—a new feature-length documentary from Anthill Films, presented by Shimano, Pon.Bike and PeopleForBikes—uncovers the overlooked potential of the bicycle, our noblest invention, in all its forms. Telling the stories of six people from all corners of the world, the documentary shows us how this amazing, relatively simple, 200-year-old machine can help us build a better future for everyone.

Women’s Gravel Clinic

Join the Fort Follies and FoCo Fondo for a FREE women's gravel clinic led by NoCo gravel pros Starla Teddergreen and Hannah Shell with support from Fort Collins' own Whitney Allison.
The clinic will cover skills such as bike body separation, cornering, descending, emergency braking, and group riding, with time to practice in a closed environment before heading out for a short ride.

Windsor Pump Track Set To Open

Windsor, Colorado, will join Berthoud and Firestone with an asphalt pump track ribbon cutting this summer. YGR confirmed that the American Ramp Company began construction on the $250,000, 20,000 sq ft. Velosolutions asphalt pump track in April. 

Trek to Consolidate Shops

For the first time since 1963, there won’t be a bike shop at 202 West Laurel Ave. According to Alex Broyhill, the General Manager of Trek Bicycles North Fort Collins, Trek corporate was unable to come to an agreement with Archie Solsky, the former owner of Lee’s Cyclery and the current owner of all three Northern Colorado Trek Bicycles’ buildings. Trek will consolidate both Fort Collins shops and move into a new South Fort Collins location.

City Staff, Leaders & Citizens Tour Valmont- 2011

The Valmont Bike Park in Boulder, Colorado, opened clear back in June 2011.  In October of that year, a group of Fort Collins bike park advocates accompanied Fort Collins City leaders and Parks and Recreation staff on a park tour. We all came away excited to bring a facility like that to Fort Collins. During the tour, Craig Foreman (former Park Planning & Development Manager) said, "I'm excited about this. This would be a great addition to our parks system".
