Tom Sweeney’s Ride to School Slideshow 2021/2022
The 2021/2022 school year marks a decade of riding to school and taking at least one photo per day every day, for Tom Sweeney. Tom teaches 5th grade at Bennett Elementary here in Fort Collins. I think this is the eighth year I've run his slideshow on the site and I always enjoy reliving the changing seasons through his lens.

ProVelo Settles into new Location
ProVelo Bicycles has settled into its new location at the corner of Horsetooth and Shields. The former McCoy's Morning Glory location provides Greg Thornton and his staff of six (and hiring) with 4500sf of room to spread out. The space includes a commercial kitchen that Thornton is considering turning into a commissary for food trucks and an additional 1500sf that he'd like to rent out to a coffee shop or similar business.

Obituary for Nathan Jones
Nathaniel Glenn Jones, 40 of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away April 16, 2022 due to side effects of a traumatic brain injury he suffered in 2018. Nathan was born in Irving, Texas to Glenn and Carol Jones on April 7, 1982.

2022 Ride of Silence and Ghost Bike Dedications
Cycling community members including Larimer County Commissioner John Kefalas and Fort Collins Mayor Jeni Arndt took part in the 2022 Ride of Silence and Ghost Bike Dedication on Wednesday evening. The seven-mile memorial ride took cyclists passed the two locations where cyclists were killed in crashes with motor vehicles in 2021. The ride and ghost bike installations were organized by Anna Kelso of Bike Fort Collins.

FC Moves E-Bikes on Paved Trails Evaluation
Three years after they were first allowed, FC Moves released a 31-page report about EBikes on paved paths in Fort Collins. In March 2022, an evaluation was conducted involving a total of 25 data collections over a 6-day period. They allowed for the monitoring of trail utilization and experience, use of e-bikes, safety behaviors, speeds, and user perceptions.

2022 Ride of Silence
This year's Ride of Silence will begin and end at Wolverine Farm and Publick House on May 18th. We will gather at 5:30 for a 5:45pm roll-out. The ride route will visit the site of the two bicycle fatality locations from 2021 and will include a formal ghost bike dedication for Don Lightbody and Luis Loma.

Obituary for Douglas Patrick Collins
Beloved husband, son, brother, and friend to many, Doug Collins, of Loveland, CO, passed on May 01, 2022 in his 48th year. The way Doug passed is just like he loved to live: riding his mountain bike on a beautiful spring day on one of his favorite Loveland trails, the Devil’s Backbone.

YGR on CBS4- Stolen Bikes
Last month, Brian Mass of CBS4 out of Denver contacted me about a story he was working on with regards to the stolen bike epidemic we've all been dealing with. We spend a few minutes discussing the two bikes I repossessed and bike theft in general. The other person he interviewed had returned 13 bikes to their rightful owners! I'm glad the new website got a little action in the video and I don't think I came off as a complete idiot.

GoFund Me Campaign Established for Alex Marr
A GoFundMe campaign has been established by Alexa Wagner for Rio Grande Elite Cycling's Alex Marr. Alex crashed heavily during the Redlands Classic this year and sustained serious injuries to his back, pelvis, and head.
