Overland Mountain Bike Association recently filled two positions within the nonprofit. Dieter Long will take over as the Membership Outreach & Coordinator, filling the vacancy left when Samantha Boon took the Marketing Coordinator position at Niner Bicycles in February. Taylor Young relocated to Fort Collins from Bentonville, Arkansas, to lead the newly developed Trail Operations Manager position.

I’ll see if I can round up some 10 Tracks from these guys.

Dieter Long-

A mountain biking enthusiast whose love affair with two wheels began back in 2015. Drawn back to the scenic trails of Colorado just two years later, he found himself immersed in the breathtaking beauty and thrill of the local mtb scene.

OMBA's new Trail Operations Manager, Taylor Young

OMBA Membership Outreach & Coordinator Announcement

Taylor Young-
Taylor recently relocated to Ft. Collins for the opportunity to come on board with OMBA and support the focus of building, maintaining and advocating for high-quality trails that enhance the mountain bike experience. Taylor’s educational roots centered on ecological restoration, studying environmental science at Paul Smith’s College in the Adirondack Park in Upstate New York. After falling in love with mountain biking in Crested Butte, he moved to Bentonville, Arkansas where he invested his career in community development around the sport. He has worked in the design, construction, and maintenance of sustainable trails while also developing programs and collaborating with stakeholders to develop projects and to support the mountain bikers progression.
As the Trails Operations Manager, Taylor will lead OMBA’s first seasonal trail crew as we work to support the Canyon Lakes Ranger District continue to restore trails that were devastated by the Cameron Peak Fire, along with bolstering our relationship and volunteer support to our region’s land agencies.
You will find Taylor out on trail with his wife, Amber, and pup, Teo. He is always game for a group ride, or a session gabbing up a service road to enjoy a great view and an awesome descent. He loves to travel the world and find new avenues to connect with the great outdoors; but you will most likely find him with a fishing pole, hammock, book, bike, backpack, or ski’s, packing up in the garage to head out on the next great adventure.
If you see him around town, give him a wave and ask him to head out on a ride!
