Take a look at the Koppenberg Road Race through the Rio Grande Elite Cycling Team’s eyes! This spring classic is a circuit race that’s about 50/50 dirt and pavement, with a climb that ramps up to 17% in the middle. With weather delays due to hail, snow, and lightning, it made for a wet muddy day out for the team. The Rio Grande Elite Cycling Team is a US Domestic Elite cycling team based out of Colorado. Howling Cow Cafe opened on July 1st, 2014, adjacent to Morning Fresh Dairy Farm hq, almost exactly a year after the Bellvue Bean closed down. That was a tough year for cyclists who were used to a mid-ride coffee break while doing the Dairy Loop.
