Dr. Matt Skrdla with Foothills Eye Care, PC, formerly Spex Optical, has been advertising on YGR and supporting the Fort Collins Cycling scene since 2011. He’s a former sponsor for 1st City Cycling, Matador Masters and numerous races and events. Matt himself is a very accomplished road racer with multiple State and National Championship podiums. He currently holds the record for the fastest 40k time trial in the United States for his age group. He’s very active in the Fort Collins group ride scene, specifically TTH and the Oval and the Colorado front-range racing scene. I’ve known the Skrdla family since about 1996 when my brothers and I raced with and against Matt and his brothers while attending school at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and wrenching at Western Schwinn.
