Check-in with Whit and Zack as they recap Whit’s Gravel Worlds race. With a lack of UCI points, Whit started nearly in last place and fought her way up to 35th out of 109 competitors. She was the fourth American to finish. The 85-mile race took place between Halle and Leuven, Belgium, on Oct 5th.

Whit & Zack traveled to Belgium for the October 5th UCI Gravel Worlds Women’s Elite race, which Whit qualified for. It was a whirlwind week in great company, traveling with Lauren & Mat Stephens, Hannah Shell, Jake Magee, Kyleigh Spearing, Ethan Overson, John Borstelmann. All the ride portions in the video are from the course and show the wildly varied terrain. After starting in the back (no UCI points!), alongside most of the Americans, Whit ultimately finished 35th, just off the main group, after falling off maybe 15k to go. A special thank you to our partners who make competing in this space possible- especially ENVE Composites (our ride or die!), WTB, First Endurance, Shimano, Lazer, and Pearl iZUMi.
