Jay Zorn rolled through Fort Collins on Tuesday, Wyoming Wednesday and is now in Montana as part of his #fifty50fifty challenge. I thought it would be fitting to have him as a 10 Tracks DJ this week. Jay’s challenge has him riding 50 miles in 50 states in 50 days in his 50th year. The ride started in Anchorage, AK on September 1st. Today he’ll ride in MT then it’s off to ND, SD, NE, IA, MN etc… He’ll finish on Maui on Oct 19th. You can read all about his ride here.

When do you listen to these? These 10 are standouts from my 45 hours of shuffle music streaming while driving from NY to Seattle to kick off the FIFTY50FIFTY. I will never skip any of these songs…Love music all the time and my tastes are all over the place…riding music playlists are much more agro rock/rap while outside and the inside Zwift miles are more techno/trap/electronic

Favorite bike? n+1 of course! My 2016 Cannondale SuperSix Evo Hi-MOD Team Replica is pretty amazing

Favorite ride? Group rides…too many hours/miles spent solo and I get in my head

Preferred style of riding? Cross is my true love…but just started mentoring Middle and High School mountain bike team for NICA NY and love watching the kids improve week to week. Love all the two wheels.

Years in NoCo? 2008-2016 FoCo

Employer/title/years there? AEGON N.V. (Transamerica USA) / Director of Innovation, Data & Analytics for Life Sciences / 18 years

Hometown? Born in Huntington, NY on Long Island…but Julie and I made Fort Collins our HOME in 2008

Team? Long-distance alumni FCCT

How do you take your coffee? At home it is Pour Over with fresh grind…and yeah over the years have experimented with grams-to-milliliter ratios (Quinn Schultz got me hooked on the bean juice)

Who influenced your taste in music? The world around me…have been all around and the people have always introduced me to cool new tunes.
