Sugar Beet’s Cycling’s Tenea Jones joins us in the YGR studios overlooking downtown Fort Collins today (none of that is true) as our 10 Tracks DJ of the week. Originally from Laramie, Tenea is a teacher with the Poudre School District. She and her family have been in Fort Collins for 9 years.

When do you listen to these?

I mostly listen to music when I’m riding the trainer, stretching, working out, or having the occasional dance party in our basement at home. If I’m driving to a trailhead I love to crank up the volume to set the tone for the ride to come.

Favorite bike?

“My Yeti Beti SB100 has totally changed my MTB rides. My SB 100 feeds to my strengths and picks up the slack where my skills are still improving.

I also just purchased a Trek Checkpoint SL 5. Not only does it look cool but it also has some pretty neat features for a gravel bike. “

Favorite ride?

“One of my favorite local rides is the 4SOH course. It’s a good way to get a little taste of what Fort Collins has to offer.

We did Monarch Crest Trail for the first time this year and just WOW!

Sedona, AZ is one of our new favorite places to ride, 10/10 recommend it.

Preferred style of riding?

My true cycling love is and most likely will always be XC MTB. I’m also getting more into gravel riding and am finding it a great way to get out on the bike even when trails are closed.
