Cyclist Michael Alexander Patterson, 21, is recovering from a skull fracture and blood clot after the Nov. 6 crash in west Fort Collins.

A Cheyenne woman accused of fleeing the scene after hitting a CSU student on his bicycle earlier this month later confessed to two friends, police say.

Fort Collins police also recovered Amanda Mae Miller’s white Infiniti sedan with damage consistent with the collision, according to her arrest documents.

Miller, 31, was arrested Friday, more than a week after the Nov. 6 crash, in which Colorado State University student Michael Alexander Patterson, 21, suffered serious injuries, according to police. Patterson’s father, Bill Patterson, said Tuesday that his son is recovering from a skull fracture and blood clot, and they hope he’ll return to school next semester.
