USA Cycling has announced its squad for the 2016 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Nove Mestro, Czech Republic, on July 2nd. 2012 World Championship bronze medalist and Fort Collins resident, Georgia Gould of the Luna Pro Team made the list. This will be Georgia’s eighth trip to the UCI World Championships and she’ll learn later this month if she will be going to her 3rd Olympics to improve on her 2012 Olympic Bronze medal. Crashes and mechanicals plagued Georgia’s first two World Cup races putting her selection in jeopardy. She put together a relatively clean ride in her 3rd race but her start position made it nearly impossible for her to ride to her true potential.
