Press Release:
FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Cycling journalist Josh Patterson has joined Mountain Bike Review and Road Bike Review as editorial director.
In this newly created position, Patterson will oversee editorial strategy and content production for both sites.
“Josh has been an avid user of Mtbr since the beginning and has been a trusted friend for a long time,” said Francis Cebedo, founder of Mtbr and Road Bike Review. “He has deep insight into road, gravel and mountain bike tech and trends and is one of the most respected writers in our industry. Josh will help us navigate the changing landscape of content, social and e-commerce to grow our powerful brands.”
Patterson previously worked as the senior technical editor at BikeRadar and as editor-in-chief of Dirt Rag. He has also contributed to Bicycling, Bike and Outside magazines.
“I’ve been a member of the Mtbr and Road Bike Review forums since I started riding as a teenager. Both sites have vibrant communities of passionate riders. I look forward to growing both titles through editorial that is relevant, inspiring and inclusive,” Patterson said.
With a combined reach of two million unique users a month, Mtbr and Road Bike Review continue to be leading sources of engaging and insightful information. The average user comes to the site twice a day and spends at least three minutes talking about the four or more bikes they own and plotting their next purchase. Since their acquisition by VerticalScope Inc. last year, Mtbr and Road Bike Review have been busy overhauling their infrastructure to launch new forums and mobile platforms this fall.
