  • Investigators had identified a primary suspect.

On October 7, 2021, around 7:15 a.m., Larimer County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a deceased person in the 2200 block of North Shields Street (Fort Collins/unincorporated Larimer County). They found the man, later identified by the Larimer County Coroner as 29-year-old Luis “Darnell” Loma.

Colorado State Patrol responded to assist with the case. Investigators determined that Mr. Loma had been riding a bicycle when a vehicle (driver) hit him. Evidence at the scene indicated that the suspect vehicle was likely a gray 2009 or 2010 Toyota Rav4 or a similar style SUV.

Gib’s NY Bagels

As I mentioned last week, I’m putting in a big push to add new advertisers to YGR during the month of September, and I’m stoked to welcome another true Fort Collins staple to the family: Gib's NY Bagels. Gib’s isn’t just the spot for a legit New York style bagel, they’ve been fueling the Northern Colorado community for over three decades. I’ve been using Gib’s as my unofficial remote office for years, so it’s pretty rad to see their banner flying on the site. They’ve always been huge supporters…
