Grant VanHoose, formally of the First City Cycling Team, is launching Butler Cycling Team p/b Climate Master, a 12 man amateur development team.  Most of the roster comprised of cat 1,2,3 road racers live here in Fort Collins.

We are excited to announce the launch of a new Fort Collins based amateur development road racing team. Butler Cycling Team p/b Climate Master will be focused on propelling some of the area’s best emerging talent to the professional ranks of cycling. We will be taking on the NRC and NCC events across the country starting in 2015. The 12 man roster consisting of riders that previously rode for First City Cycling Team, Pedal Cycling Team, Rodeo Adventure Labs, and Ciclismo Youth Foundation will be taking aim at the ACA Best All Around Rider Competition, the Joe Martin Stage Race, the Cascade Cycling Classic, and Steamboat Springs Stage
Race.

The 2015 season will be our first year of operations and we are proud to be taking the Fort Collins cycling spirit with us across the country. While our title sponsors are recognized nationwide, the majority of our riders and presenting sponsors are right here in Fort Collins and you will probably recognize them from local events.

We are proud to be representing Butler Manufacturing, Climate Master Geothermal, Rudy Project, CatEye, Rouler Sportswear, First City Mortgage Group, Spex Vision Care, proVelo, White Buffalo Kitchen, and Podium Sports Massage. Watch out for the boys in blue and black.

Much like New Belgium Brewing, the Rio is synonymous with Fort Collins cycling. Patrick McGaughran, the owner of all five Colorado Rios opened the first restaurant here in Fort Collins in 1986. He first sponsored an elite road team in 1999.
