The Fort Collins Cycling Club is hosting a Ride of Silence for Gary Moody on Sept 30th. The CSU professor was struck and killed by a semi while riding his bike near Berthoud on Monday August 20th.  The ride will begin at Front Range Community College and end at CSU with a memorial service and concert. Riders must wear a helmet, sign a waiver and RSVP. Full details below. 

 

Dear Fort Collins Cycling Friends,

On Sunday, September 30, at 2:15 p.m., the Fort Collins Cycling Club is hosting a Ride of Silence for Gary Moody at Front Range Community College. The ride will take us to the memorial service/concert at CSU that begins at 3:00 p.m.

This ride has been approved by Gary’s wife, Risë, and is open to the Fort Collins Community. Helmets are required and we ask that participants complete an insurance waiver at our club website prior to the ride (see link at http://www.fccycleclub.org/Awaiver).

Gary’s wife, Risë Moody, has approved this memorial ride. Please also note that the Fort Collins Cycling Club requests donations in honor of Gary be made to this scholarship fund at CSU https://advancing.colostate.edu/MOODY.

Howling Cow Cafe opened on July 1st, 2014, adjacent to Morning Fresh Dairy Farm hq, almost exactly a year after the Bellvue Bean closed down. That was a tough year for cyclists who were used to a mid-ride coffee break while doing the Dairy Loop.
