YGR has confirmed that Incycle, a subsidiary of Specialized Bicycles, will open three bike shops in the former corporate TREK Bicycle locations here in Fort Collins and Loveland. According to the Incycle website, the shops will open at 202 Laurel St and 931 E Harmony Rd, in Fort Collins and 4880 Thompson Pkwy in Loveland/Johnstown “soon”. The retail locations are owned by Archie Solsky, the former owner of Lee’s Cyclery, and house TREK bike shops owned by TREK Bicycles out of Waterloo, WI. Solsky sold Lee’s to TREK in June of 2018 but retained ownership of the buildings. YGR reported last month that TREK and Solsky could not reach a lease agreement on any of the three spaces forcing TREK to move.
Although an exact opening date isn’t listed, Incycle is actively recruiting employees for the Northern Colorado shops and has openings for Assistant Store Manager, Cycling Specialist, Service Technician, and Store Manager. You can see those positions here.
In addition to the three yet-to-open Colorado shops, Incycle has eight California locations.
The South Fort Collins TREK store closed on June 10th to start moving inventory into the new location. The North Fort Collins store will close on June 17th. The new consolidated TREK Bicycles Fort Collins store will open on June 20th. The Loveland shop will close on June 17th and open on June 27th at 5745 McWhinney Blvd.
Solsky was a Specialized dealer until 2008 when the brand opened a concept store in partnership with Robin Torres and the now-defunct Peloton Cycles.
