Ladies and gentlemen, could I please get a round of applause for your USA Cycling Collegiate Club Division Cross Country National Champion, CSU’s own Elin Hartmann.

Hartmann also brought home the silver medal in Short Track over the weekend at Collegiate Mountain Bike Nationals, held October 9–12 at Powderhorn Mountain Resort in Grand Junction. The Rams posted strong results across all disciplines, earning multiple podiums and consistent top-20 finishes in one of the most competitive fields in collegiate cycling. Hartmann led the team with her national title and silver medal, while Luke Leavitt added two impressive fourth-place finishes in both Cross Country and Short Track, and joined Hartmann, Isa Naschold, and Cade Bosler to take bronze in the Team Relay.

CSU finished fourth in the Team Omnium, just off the podium, after one rider crashed out of Dual Slalom. Leavitt capped an outstanding weekend by finishing second overall in the Individual Omnium.

The Rams once again proved to be among the most complete and consistent club programs in the country, scoring points across all disciplines from endurance to gravity. Hartmann’s national title and Leavitt’s overall podium highlight the depth and versatility of the CSU squad.

Next up is Cyclocross Nationals, December 10–14 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where CSU riders will wrap up the collegiate racing season.

Trailcraft Cycles was started here in Fort Collins in 2014 by Brett and Ginger Rosenbauer, with their two children as the catalysts for the brand. Brett was working sales at Niner and wanted a high-performance bike for his son so they could share their passion for riding. Unable to find the perfect bike, Brett began designing, prototyping, and eventually selling bikes that bore the names of the trails they were tested on.
