OTBs Brewed by CooperSmith’s

In collaboration with CooperSmith's Pub and Brewing, Overland Mountain Bike Association announced the release of their new Overland Trail Beer. OTB is American Pale Ale developed by CooperSmith's head brewer, Chris McCombs. The ale's development started in February with discussions between Chris and the OMBA team, brewing started in March and it was ready by April.  OTB (aka: Over The Bars, Off The Back, and Off Track Betting...) is described as having a slight haziness and combines biscuit and caramel malt flavors with citrusy, tropical hop aromas. OTB will initially be available at Coop's, then Road34, and spread to other Northern Colorado locations.

OMBA Movie Night-Airplane Mode

Overland MTBA will host a screening of the film Airplane Mode as a bike park fundraiser on May 7th. The evening will include a night of movies, popcorn and drinks, 2 free OMBA Trail Beers, entry for door prizes, entry for the grand prize from One Up Components worth $1200.

MTB Categories at Twin Silo BMX

USA BMX and Twin Silo BMX will host MTB categories this Summer. Races will take place on Monday and Thursday nights from May 1st until August 31st. Twin Silo will host an MTB open specific open house on April 24th.

Kruse Captures Alison Jackson’s Historic Win

Fort Collins' Taylor Kruse had the unique and enviable opportunity to film and produce a video on Alison Jackson's historic Paris Roubaix Femmes win for EF Pro Cycling. Alison became the first North American to win Roubaix on Saturday and Taylor spent the whole day with the team. His company, 1000% Studio, developed EF's RaceTV project. He'll be producing men's TdF content and filming/producing women's TdF race footage.

Together We Cycle Film Screening

Join FC Moves and the Dutch Cycling Embassy as they host a free screening of the film Together We Cycle. Afterwards, Bike Fort Collins will moderate a discussion with FC Moves and the Dutch Cycling Embassy.

Drake Cycles is Expanding

After five years in its current 2400-square-foot location, Drake Cycles is knocking down a few walls. The full-service bike shop located at 902 West Drake Road is expanding to the West and will increase its size by 1400 square feet, bringing the total to 3800 square feet. The new space will provide a larger showroom footprint, dressing rooms, a bike fit location, space to sort and store inventory and allow for dedicated offices and a staff breakroom.

Weld County Gravel Stage Race Returns

The Weld County Gravel Stage Race returns to Northern Colorado as the NoCo Gravel Stage race this Spring. Some of you may remember Drew Chapman organized a free, Strava-based summer-long gravel stage race a few years back. Drew and Justin Fields are working together to rejuvenate the series for the 2023 season.

Ciclismo Racing’s Local Race Program Reg Opens 4/1

Registration for Ciclismo Racing's Local Race Program opens on April 1st. This program is for girls and boys between 13 and 18 years old who are interested in racing mountain bikes here in Colorado.  This program is a skills and fun first milieu designed around athlete and community development. Athletes will participate in three weekly practices and three summer races between May 20th and July 24th.
