Trek to Consolidate Shops

For the first time since 1963, there won’t be a bike shop at 202 West Laurel Ave. According to Alex Broyhill, the General Manager of Trek Bicycles North Fort Collins, Trek corporate was unable to come to an agreement with Archie Solsky, the former owner of Lee’s Cyclery and the current owner of all three Northern Colorado Trek Bicycles’ buildings. Trek will consolidate both Fort Collins shops and move into a new South Fort Collins location.

City Staff, Leaders & Citizens Tour Valmont- 2011

The Valmont Bike Park in Boulder, Colorado, opened clear back in June 2011.  In October of that year, a group of Fort Collins bike park advocates accompanied Fort Collins City leaders and Parks and Recreation staff on a park tour. We all came away excited to bring a facility like that to Fort Collins. During the tour, Craig Foreman (former Park Planning & Development Manager) said, "I'm excited about this. This would be a great addition to our parks system". 

2023 Ride of Silence

The Fort Collins cycling community to honor those lost and injured to traffic violence during the 2023 Ride of Silence on Wednesday, May 17th. The ride will visit the site of both bicycle fatalities of 2023.

2023 NoCo Criterium Results and Photos

212 racers competed in the 2023 NoCo Criterium at the Northern Colorado Law Enforcement Driving Facility on Saturday. Isabel Naschold, Tony Riccio, Greg Scanlan, Tayne Andrade and Michael Ortega all won their respective categories. Shout out to Kade Kreikemeier for his impressive 3rd place in the Pro, 1, 2 race.

All NoCo Women’s MTB Ride

In celebration of International Women's MTB Day, Overland Mountain Bike Association presents the All NoCO Women's Ride.

Open Streets Volunteers

The 2023 Spring Open Streets event is on Sunday, June 4th on Boardwalk Dr and Landings Dr between Horsetooth and Harmony. Volunteers are needed.

OTBs Brewed by CooperSmith’s

In collaboration with CooperSmith's Pub and Brewing, Overland Mountain Bike Association announced the release of their new Overland Trail Beer. OTB is American Pale Ale developed by CooperSmith's head brewer, Chris McCombs. The ale's development started in February with discussions between Chris and the OMBA team, brewing started in March and it was ready by April.  OTB (aka: Over The Bars, Off The Back, and Off Track Betting...) is described as having a slight haziness and combines biscuit and caramel malt flavors with citrusy, tropical hop aromas. OTB will initially be available at Coop's, then Road34, and spread to other Northern Colorado locations.

OMBA Movie Night-Airplane Mode

Overland MTBA will host a screening of the film Airplane Mode as a bike park fundraiser on May 7th. The evening will include a night of movies, popcorn and drinks, 2 free OMBA Trail Beers, entry for door prizes, entry for the grand prize from One Up Components worth $1200.

MTB Categories at Twin Silo BMX

USA BMX and Twin Silo BMX will host MTB categories this Summer. Races will take place on Monday and Thursday nights from May 1st until August 31st. Twin Silo will host an MTB open specific open house on April 24th.
