After years of collaboration and shared goals, SendTown Bike Club and Ciclismo Racing have officially joined forces to better serve Northern Colorado’s growing youth cycling community.
Earlier this year, Andy Clark, a longtime leader in Colorado youth cycling and owner of Ciclismo Coaching, joined SendTown full-time as the club’s Programs and Coaching Director. In this role, Clark oversees all coaching and curriculum for SendTown’s programs—from elementary-aged riders just getting started in Wolfpack, to those continuing their development in Devo, up through high school aged Ciclismo athletes training for competition.
While Clark continues to operate Ciclismo Coaching independently, his Ciclismo Racing high school mountain bike team is now officially part of SendTown Bike Club. The team will continue to compete in the Colorado High School Cycling League, maintaining the tradition of inclusivity and development that both programs have championed for years.
Importantly, Ciclismo Racing has never been just about competition—it’s also about camaraderie, building confidence, and helping young riders learn to love riding bikes. That spirit will carry forward under the SendTown banner.
“This is something that’s been a long time coming,” said Clark. “We’ve worked closely for years, but combining our efforts under one unified structure will help eliminate confusion, streamline communication, and offer a stronger, more consistent experience for young riders and their families.”
The unification comes at a time of growth and momentum for youth cycling in the region. With a consolidated leadership structure and aligned programming, SendTown is poised to expand its impact both on and off the bike.

About the Colorado High School Cycling League and how it works in NoCo
- The Colorado High School Cycling League consists of teams from the Rocky Mountains, with participating schools in Colorado, New Mexico, South Dakota, and Wyoming.
- The league is divided into four regions. NoCo kids race in the Platte region, which includes athletes from three states and 18 high schools/composite metro areas.
- Divisions are based on the size of each team. D3 is 5 to 15 athletes (Fort Collins, Poudre, and Fossil Ridge). D2 is 16-30 (no NoCo team currently in this division). D1 is 30+(Rocky Mountain High School). For example, Fairview has 105 athletes, Goulden has 115, and Rocky has 30.
- NoCo kids race for their high schools: Rocky Mountain, Fort Collins, Poudre, and Fossil Ridge. If they do not attend one of these schools for whatever reason (homeschool, not in PSD, etc.), they race for whatever high school is closest to their home address. They can live in other cities and race for Fort Collins high schools if their high school doesn’t have a team.
- All NoCo athletes race and train under the Ciclismo Racing umbrella, which is a program of the SendTown nonprofit. Ciclismo/SendTown organizes practices, pays coaches, purchases clothing, manages race day operations, develops training plans, and does a litany of other things.
- Ciclsimo Racing has roughly 65 athletes and 14 coaches.
- There are boys and girls varsity, junior varsity, sophomore, and freshman races.
- Platte Region races occur in Frisco, Eagle, Steamboat, and Nathrop, and the State Championships are in Glenwood Springs.
- During the opening weekend, over 1400 high school athletes participated in races in Frisco and Leadville.
