members participate in events that cover the spectrum, ranging from local grassroots races to
international Ironman competitions.
Our athletes participate in a range of cycling disciplines, as well as triathlons, and running
events. Our goal is to provide strong support and encouragement to each of our racers to meet
individual goals, push limits, and succeed in new racing disciplines. The team commitment also
extends to promoting health and wellness throughout northern Colorado by initiating and
supporting athletic events, raising awareness about endurance athleticism, and contributing to
the community through clinics and volunteering.
Team Mission: To empower women in the Fort Collins area to be active members of our cycling community through riding, racing, and philanthropy. We strongly believe in a positive, supportive, and inclusive team, suited for women or all abilities and disciplines.
2013 Season Goals:
-Connect women on bikes to create community, provide women the resources to start to race or grow as a racer and/or recreational rider (skills clinics, training rides, new cycling friends, teaching mechanical skills, access to discounts on essential equipment to reduce cost)
-Provide the Fort Collins community with skills clinics and events that benefit the entire community
-Host a race or races in 2013 (hopefully multiple disciplines, depending on club interest and support
-Be active community members at local races, events, and on the roads/trails/track and be supportive of all racers and riders.
-Be well-known in the community in a positive light for both giving back and being an empowering organization for women!

Northern Colorado is home to many teams and clubs. FCCT is unique among them in our commitment not only to racing, but developing the culture and community. Our approach is to identify members and sponsors who share our values and goals, and are motivated to work towards them together.
Among our active members are: the Vice President of the American Cycling Association (Colorado’s race sanctioning body), the owner/editor of YourGroupRide.com (the region’s only comprehensive racing and cycling blog and calendar), the Director and several board members of Northern Colorado Cycling Events (a steering board for event development in NorCo), and regular contributors to the Coloradoan and CyclingNews.com.
FCCT is known as the "nice guy" team. We encourage participation, volunteering, and mentorship. We lead 3 weekly training rides in town, including a ride specifically to foster less experienced riders. in 2012, we also introduced skills clinics to our City Streets Criteriums, to develop safe and responsible habits in new racers.
FCCT promotes Cross of the North, the Colorado Cyclocross Championship, as well as a grassroots series, the City Streets Criteriums. Our members promote or volunteer at just about every event in the region, including the Taft Hill, Horsetooth and Double Dams Time Trial Series and the USGP of Cyclocross. We're also represented on the committee working to bring the USA Pro Challenge to Northern Colorado in 2013.
FCCT racers are as prolific on our bikes as we are behind the scenes, logging over 390 race days in 2012, with 125 top 5s and 32 wins. We count among our ranks National champions, ACA Best All Around Riders, stage race winners, enduro champions, 24 hour team race podiums, and more, in categories from masters women, to category 4s, to elites (for 2013 we are proud to present Northrn Colorado's only elite mens road race team).

In 1999, the Rio’s passion for the Colorado lifestyle, together with their commitment to “love thy community,” led to the formation of Team Rio Grande Racing—one of the top elite amateur cycling programs in the country.
Now in our 12th year, Team Rio Grande has refocused on what has always been the heart of the team: our Colorado-based Master’s squad. Our team’s racers continue to light it up every weekend in Colorado and nearby states. Over 40 riders representing a broad range of race and age categories, from 55+ Cat 4s to National Champions, compete every week for the ACA best all-around rider and team competition.
Our mission is to act as ambassadors of cycling, promote true sportsmanship (on and off their bikes), and provide quality opportunities for
aspiring athletes in all categories—always while having fun.
Team Rio Grande has always played an important part in American Cycling. Former Team Rio Grande Racing members include current U.S. Pro Champion Mara Abbott, Allison Powers,
Taylor Sheldon, Scott Nydam, and current U.S. Pro Tour rider Tejay Van Garderen.
Team Rio Grande Racing trains and races year-round. Watch for us on the road in our signature Rio bike jerseys, cycling hard and enjoying those ColoRio endorphins.

Given the diverse distribution of employees around the world – we hope to use this site to unify the HP cycling family and provide a collective voice to highlight events, best practices and information about rides and people around the world.
Over time we hope to use this site to promote awareness of events and charity rides that are supported by HP employees to give others a chance to schedule vacations that might allow their participation in these events at locations around the world – building a diverse spirit to further define the HP way. We also hope to recognize the tireless efforts of employees as they use their passion for cycling to raise awareness and contributions to recognized charitable events worldwide.
