Miiflow Team Update 2025
The Miiflo Cycling Team, formally known as the 1st City Cycling Team is rolling into 2025 with a new kit design, title sponsor, expanded junior team and the return of a local bike shop sponsor. Gone is the familiar green, yellow and orange colorway which has been replaced by Miiflo's blue and purple. Miiflo is a Fort Collins based financial services firm that provides investment ideas and risk management tools for individual investors. The company is owned by local cyclist and longtime team member Josh Schuler. Former title sponsor Mick Occhiato with 1st City Mortgage is continuing to ride with and sponsor the team.

Winter Bike to Work Day 2025
Fort Collins’ 18th Annual Winter Bike to Work Day will be held Friday, Feb. 14, 2025 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for morning stations and 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for afternoon Bike from Work Day stations.

2025 CSU Race Weekend Information
Two of the longest running and most popular road races in the state will take place in April. Kick off your 2025 road season with the CSU Oval criterium and Cobb Lake circuit race April 19th and 20th. These races are hosted by your CSU Rams.

Hughes Property Community Engagement
The city wants to hear from you about how the former Hughes Stadium property should be utilized in the future. They are using a Civic Assembly process to gather information from the entire community. Once all the information is compiled and reviewed a recommendation will be presented to City Council this Summer. There are a few ways you can participate.

RioSwap 2025
It's that time of year again! RioSwap 2025 pb Mike Weber with Keller Williams Realty will take place Sunday, March 2nd, from 4:00 PM -7:00 PM in Rio's Agave Room.
What is RioSwap, you ask? Well, it's an outdoor gear swap hosted by YGR every year in the Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant Agave Room. It's equal parts gear swap, season kickoff and social gathering. We usually have 45 vendors (vendor tables are open to businesses and individuals). We will have a Girl Scout Cookie table again, and of course, the Rio bar will be rocking and rolling. Vendor tables always sell out, and hundreds of buyers pass through during the course of the evening.

Ollie Stratton Trial Verdict
The jury in the Ollie Stratton trial announced their verdict today. After roughly 3 hours of deliberating, the six-member jury found Amy Weiss, guilty of Careless Driving Resulting in Death.

Laramie Series Set to Return
Evan O'Toole with Laramie Racing announced yesterday that arguably the best grassroots race series in the universe will return in 2025. The Laramie Mountain Bike Series will feature five Tuesday night races on Wyoming's Pilot Hill (first two races) and Happy Jack (final three races) trail systems. The real-time race results, post-race meals, awards, raffles, legitimate and challenging cross-country courses, and chill atmosphere that made these races popular for 12 years are all set to return this summer.

NoCo Racers at 2024 CX Nationals
Cyclocross racers from across the country have descended on Louisville, Kentucky, for the 2024 USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships. Championship racing starts today with the women's singlespeed race and wraps up on Sunday with the men's singlespeed race. Men's and women's elite races take place on Saturday. Northern Colorado has 14 racers competing 21 times.

Ollie Stratton Trial
This is Ollie Stratton. On August 2nd, 2023, Ollie was struck and killed by Amy Weiss as he was riding his bike near his home in Timnath, Colorado. Ollie should have turned 12 on Dec 5th. Instead of preparing for one of the best days of the year for a 12-year-old, the Stratton family will be spending the week before Christmas enduring the trial of the driver who killed their son.

Pedal the Pacific Film Screening
The Pedal the Pacific film screening is coming to the Gilded Goat in Fort Collins on Monday, December 9th. The film by Sydney Gawlik captures the essence of the 1700-mile bike ride along the Pacific coast with the 2024 PtP team. The 15-minute film captures the raw, real moments of the ride, the challenge, strength, and meaning behind this venture- to raise awareness and funds to combat domestic sex trafficking.

SOAPSTONE AND RED MOUNTAIN CLOSE FOR THE SEASON
Both Soapstone Prairie Natural Area and Red Mountain Open Space have closed for the season. Soapstone, managed by Fort Collins Natural Areas and Red Mountain, managed by Larimer County Natural Resources, close annually from Dec 1st until March 1st due to "sensitive wintering range for large mammals and low recreational opportunities."
