Magnus White Memorial Ride & Rally
The White Line fountain is holding a memorial ride and rally to honor Magnus White and demand improved infrastructure to protect vulnerable road users. The ride will take place at 9:30 on Sunday, August 11th. Registration is required.

2024 FoCo Fondo Results
Congrats to everyone who took part in the 2024 FoCo Fondo, and a huge thanks to everyone who worked and volunteered to make the event such a great community event. Full results are below. Special shoutout to Cory Flood for taking the win in the 60-mile race with an impressive solo win from 20 miles out. Way to keep the trophy in Fort Collins for at least the 3rd year running.

Kechter Road Reopens with Bike Lanes
I have some great news and some not-so-awesome news.
First, the great news: two years after CDOT replaced the Kechter bridge over I25, the City of Fort Collins has repaved, widened, and added bike lanes to both sides of the road West of I25.

Poudre River Trail Update- 07/16/2024
If all goes according to plan, the Poudre River Trail will connect Bellvue to Greeley, passing through Fort Collins, Timnath, and Windsor by the end of the year. Three sections of trail totaling about 2 miles need to be completed before we can ride all 40 miles from start to finish.

Bike Lanes Added to North Shields
Earlier this month, Larimer County completed project number 327, which widened, repaved and added 6' bike lanes to North Shields Street between Willox and Highway 287. These improvements provide a much-needed and safer way for cyclists to exit North Central Fort Collins. Prior to this project, no bike lanes existed between Willcox and 287.

2024 North South Departs Fort Collins Friday

What’s the deal with: Chimney Hollow Open Space
The Chimney Hollow Project will include a 1,800-acre Open Space and a 760 surface-acre reservoir. It is located approximately 5 miles West of Carter Lake off the Rattlesnake climb to Pinewood Reservoir. The wakeless reservoir is currently in the construction phase and should be completed in late summer of 2025. The natural area and reservoir will open to the public as a Larimer County Open Space in 2027. The current plan only calls for 10-12 miles of natural surface trails within the entire 1,800-acre open space.

Whit and Zack’s Ride to Enve’s Grodeo
Whitney and Zack Allison of Bikesports took part in Envy's Grodeo over the weekend, but the real story is how they got there. Over the course of four days, they rode nearly 600 miles, with 30.5k feet climbing from Fort Collins to Ogden, Utah.

Hughes Update 06/21/024
Fort Collins City Council met on June 11th to discuss the future of the former Hughes Stadium site. During the work session, Ginny Sawyer, Senior Project Manager, presented background on the Hughes property to date and past engagement and requested direction on future guiding principles and outreach. They will likely use a “Civic Assembly” engagement process to determine how the land will be used and pledge to have that plan in place by next summer.

Bike to Work (or wherever) Day 2024
Our friends at FC Moves have put together another whopper of a holiday for us. The 36th annual Summer Bike to Work (or Wherever) Day will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. FC Moves has lined up 86 stations, hosted by over 120 local businesses and organizations. Breakfast will be available until gone between 6:30–9:30 a.m. and a record breaking 14 afternoon stations will be open from 4–6 p.m.
