Belvoir Ranch Trails Near Completion

Nearly 13 miles of new singletrack built by TPT Trails will anchor the first public phase of the Belvoir Ranch trail system near Cheyenne, with an opening date now projected for June 1, 2026. For Northern Colorado riders, the trailhead sits just over an hour from Fort Collins.

New Sunday Group Ride

Let's go! INCYCLE South is kicking off a new weekly road group ride this Sunday, December 21st. These will be base paced rides for now but will transition to race pace by Summer.

NoCo 2025 CX Nats Recap

Northern Colorado riders turned in strong performances across the 2025 US Cyclocross National Championships. Miiflo’s Steve Stefko took the Master Men’s 50–54 National Championship, winning in what was widely considered the strongest field of the weekend outside the Men Elite and U23 races. Colorado State University had 8 riders entered, and the Rams showed depth throughout the weekend.

Stefko Wins National Championships

He did it! Miiflo’s Steve Stefko just took the win in the 50-54 National Championship race in Fayetteville. This jersey has been a long time coming, with 6 attempts and 5 top fives since 2014. Today’s race had the highest predicted quality of any event outside the men’s Elite and U23 races all weekend. Not bad for a bunch of old dudes.

Friends of FoCo Fondo Film Fest

Friends of FoCo Fondo Fest is now accepting submissions for its inaugural short film festival on January 8th. If you have a five to twenty minute bike related short film, you are invited to submit it for consideration. Films can be humorous, emotional, creative, or reflective. Submissions are due by 8 pm Mountain Time on December 24

2025 CX Nationals Preview

Northern Colorado has 13 riders heading to Fayetteville, Arkansas, for the Cyclocross National Championships this weekend, including a full squad of eight from CSU. There are 1118 preregistered racers.  Stay tuned for full results.

2025 CX State Championships Recap

Congrats to all the NoCo racers who took part in the 2025 Colorado Cyclocross State Championships in Golden over the weekend. For the first time this season racers finally had real cx conditions. Three hundred nine racers lined up for a course that was sometimes snowy, sometimes frozen, and occasionally muddy at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.

ACTION ALERT: Magnus White

By now you've likely heard that the driver convicted of killing Magnus White, Yeva Smilianska, who received a four-year prison sentence, has applied for early release to Community Corrections. If approved, she could be transferred after serving THREE MONTHS of her four-year sentence.

New Trails Coming to Loveland

The City of Loveland is continuing work on the Skyline and Dakota Ridge trail system on the northwest side of town. The project will total 7.8 miles of trails and is being managed by Marilyn Hilgenberg, Open Lands and Trails Manager for the Parks & Recreation Department of Loveland.

SOAPSTONE AND RED MOUNTAIN CLOSE FOR THE SEASON

Soapstone Prairie Natural Area, Red Mountain Open Space and Hermit Park Open Space have closed for the season. Soapstone Prairie Natural Area, managed by Fort Collins Natural Areas, Hermit Park Open Space and Red Mountain Open Space, managed by Larimer County, close annually in December and reopen on March 1st. The public open spaces close each winter due to the "sensitive wintering range for large mammals and low recreational opportunities.

Hughes: What’s Next?

With the passage of Ballot Question 2H, the City of Fort Collins has begun internal work to outline a plan for the future of the Hughes Stadium site. Ballot Question 2H establishes the site as a multiuse space that includes a community bike park. Ballot Question 2A, the tax extension that guarantees five million dollars in bike park funding, also passed. Ballot Question 303, which proposed dedicating the entire site as a natural area, did not pass.

PRT is Painfully Close to Completion

YGR has been updating you on several big paved path projects coming online in the next year, the Siphon Overpass, the Harmony Crossing, and our final update is on arguably the most exciting one, the Poudre River Trail connection between Timnath and Windsor.

Thanks in part to an unseasonably warm fall, Connell Resources crews have made major progress. Less than 100 yards of pavement the bridge over the Greeley Number 2 Canal and some fencing are all that remain.
