2025 Spring Dirt Pile Races

Now that those silly Tuesday night time trials are over, its time to focus on the Dirt Pile short track races at New Belgium. The SendTown crew hosts races for all ages (starting with Striders) and all abilities are welcome. There are free kids races, food trucks and a beer garden. A whole bunch of rowdy has been added to the course, specifically out East in Dogtown so come check it out. We're racing Tuesday evenings:, April 29th, May 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th and June 3rd.

2025 CSU Race Weekend Results and Photos

The CSU Oval Criterium and Cobb Lake Circuit Race took place this past weekend. Official USAC results show 449 starters for the weekend: Oval Criterium -191, Cobb Lake Circuit- 257.

Congrats to NoCo racers Desmond Mohr, Felix Naschold, Jared Gant, Jacob Robinson (x2), Korynne Collins, Greg Scanlan, Joel Charles, Olivia Cummins, Scott Pollyea (x2), Eleanor Dausch, and Henry York of Team Rio Grande Racing on their podiums. 

YGR Time Trials Set to Start

The 2025 YGR Time Trials are set to start on Tuesday, April 8th!
The first race is the Horsetooth Time Trial followed by the Taft Hill Time Trial on April 15th and finally the Doube Damn Dams on April 22nd.  The racing continues with the same courses in June and again in August.  These are great, no-pressure training races for everyone from experienced pros to first-timers. Categories for road, knobby-tired (gravel, cx and mtb) and aero.

2025 NoCo Gravel Stage Race

The NoCo Gravel Stage Race is back for 2025. The first stage starts on April 1st with a new route dropping every month through August.

Frostbite Time Trial Results & Photos

154 racers kicked off their road season with the Frostbite Time Trial in Wellington. The race is hosted by Team Rio Grande Racing and sanctioned by USA Cycling. The 11 mile out and back course featured categories for Aero, Eddy Merckx, tandem and collegiate teams.

One Speed Open

Event Type: Gravel Group Ride
Time of Year: Spring
The OSO is the OG NoCo gravel event, first taking place in 2005. V1 was a fundraiser so the legend Rafael Millan-Garcia could return to Mexico to visit his ailing father. The lowkey grassroots gravel race has happened more or less every year since.

Laramie MTB Series

Event Type: Mountain Bike Series
Time of Year: Summer
The best grassroots race series in the universe will return in 2025. The Laramie Mountain Bike Series will feature five Tuesday night races on Wyoming's Pilot Hill (first two races) and Happy Jack (final three races) trail systems.

2024 North South Departs Fort Collins Friday

Of the 25 riders currently registered, eight are from Northern Colorado. Be sure to cheer on Zack Allison, Devon Pia, Matt Fix, Tom Carter, Jon Ruble, Kevin Clark, Matt Erickson, and Travis Stuart. You can track them live via the Trackleaders map.

City Streets Cirts Updates

Some fairly substantial changes are taking place for this year’s City Streets Criterium series. Races will now take place on Thursdays in June. They will require online payment, and there is a cash payout for all categories in an omnium format. Thanks to FCCT for hosting and to First City Mortgage, Elevations Real Estate, and Trek Bicycles for sponsoring the event.

Tour de Fat

Event Type: Bike Holiday
Time of Year: Late Summer
Tour de Fat is a free, annual bike parade in Fort Collins, Colorado that takes place around Labor Day weekend. The event features costumed cyclists riding to New Belgium Brewing, where they participate in a party with live music, games, contests, and beer. The 2024 parade will take place on Saturday, August 24.

Winter Bike to Work Day

Time of Year: February
Winter Bike to Work Day encourages thousands of cyclists to ride their bikes to work (or wherever) each February. Dozens of local businesses sponsor free breakfast stations all over town.  It's like Bike to Work Day but with mittens.
