The Colorado State University Cycling Team delivered a strong showing at the 2025 USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships last weekend (May 2–4, 2025) in Madison. Racing in the Club Division, the Rams earned multiple top-10 finishes, including second-place results in both the men’s and women’s team time trials, a second-place overall finish in the Road Team Omnium and the  WIN in the Year-long Team Omnium (cumulative points for the entire school year, across disciplines).

A cyclist was killed and a motorcyclist injured Sunday afternoon in a collision on Larimer County Road 38E near Horsetooth Mountain Park, according to witnesses.

Now that those silly Tuesday night time trials are over, its time to focus on the Dirt Pile short track races at New Belgium. The SendTown crew hosts races for all ages (starting with Striders) and all abilities are welcome. There are free kids races, food trucks and a beer garden. The Senate Judiciary Committee is set to review a new bill today that would impose stricter penalties on individuals who commit careless driving resulting in serious injury or death. Lawmakers will hear public testimony and vote on the bill’s advancement later in the day.

The City of Fort Collins is taking steps to improve and expand its paved trail system with the release of a draft Strategic Trails Plan. Developed in partnership with industry consultant Logan Simpson, the plan is now available for public review and feedback as the City works to ensure the trail network meets the current and future needs of the community.

Amy Weiss, the driver convicted of killing Olliver Stratton, is scheduled to report to the Larimer County Jail's Alternative Sentencing Department today, April 11th. Weiss will serve her two one-year sentences concurrently in the Work Release Program.
