10 Tracks

Lets tune in weekly to hear what our fellow NoCo cyclists listen to when they riding, wrenching, driving and recovering. We have nearly 100 playlists and 1000 songs already streaming on YGR Radio.

10 TRACKS WITH DAKOTA TROUT

It’s always interesting to have actual musicians on 10 Tracks. This week Ardor Racing’s Dakota Trout joins us. Dakota was raised in Fort Morgan and has been in the Greeley/Fort Collins area for the past eight years. He’s been the Service Manager at Rocky Mountain Multisport for the past 3 years.

10 TRACKS WITH SAM ACHESON

Sam Acheson is one of the unsung hero’s of YGR. He’s been answering my dumb backend questions and hosting the site since I launched this thing back in 2008. A recovering roadie, Sam spends most of his time on mtb and gravel bikes these days. Sam came up on the mean streets of West Des Moines Ia and has been in the Fort since 1993. Sam is the COO at Teren Inc (yeah, I don’t know what that means either).

10 TRACKS WITH SEAN BURKE

Sean Burke is our 10 Tracks DJ this week. Sean is one of the faster roadies you've never heard of. He took 3rd in the Pro, 1,2 Colorado State Road Race Championships this year. Originally from Denver, Sean has been in the Fort since 2014. He's currently a student at CSU and works at Runners Roost. He's also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Thanks for your service, Sean.

10 TRACKS WITH BRETT ROSENBAUER

Brett Rosenbauer is our DJ on 10 Tracks this week. Brett was one of the wheels I'd latch onto on Wednesday Night Worlds way back in the early 2000s. He doesn't like to admit it but he was a pretty strong roadie once. I remember he had (has?) this beautiful white Independent Fabrications road bike...  Anyway, now he spends most of his time on the dirt and running Trailcraft Cycles with his wife Ginger and their two kids. Trailcraft is a high-end kids mtb company based here in the Fort.

10 TRACKS WITH KEVIN OSBERG

This week we're sending out a farewell 10 Tracks to our pal Kevin Osberg. After 15 years in the Fort, Kevin and the fam are moving to SoDak at the end of the month. Most of you roadies know Kevin as a steady wheel on TTH, the Oval and Worlds but he also hits the gravel and MTB whenever possible. Kevin came to us from Lincoln and had been an Electrical Engineer with LSI/Avago/Broadcom for the past 12 years. He recently picked up a remote gig that allows him to work from wherever and more specifically the Black Hills.

10 TRACKS WITH DON DORITY

This week's 10 Tracks DJ is Scheels Colorado Cycling's, Don Dority. Don has been on a terror this season in the MM 40+ 4s/ SM 4s and I imagine he'll be getting an invite to the 3s here pretty soon. Don is the president and CEO of Narrow Path Financial Inc / and Battalion Chief with Wellington Fire. Originally from Fort Lupton, Don has been in Fort Collins since 1997.

10 TRACKS WITH MICHAEL ORTEGA

Let's start the week off with a new 10 Tracks playlist by our pal, Michael Ortega. Michael is one of the highest mileage working stiffs I know. He's currently sitting at just over 8k miles for the year, mostly due to his 50+ mile-per-day bike commute from Wellington to Loveland and home again.  Originally from Del Rio, Texas Michael came to us via San Antonio and is celebrating his 15th year with Fastenal (Industrial Supply) in Loveland where he's the general manager.

10 TRACKS WITH TIFFANY ANKRUM

Tiffany Ankrum, you guys! Tiffany has been a constant member of the Fort Collins cycling scene for as long as I can remember. She rides for the Follies, Team BOB and is active with Send Town. A  Billings Montana native she's been in Fort Collins for 24 years. The PVH ER Registered Nurse (thanks for the hustle!) has dabbled in all things cycling but has settled into the MTB lifestyle (lots of times it's a SS MTB). She listens to her 10 tracks while riding and running (only one bud of course).

10 TRACKS WITH VALERIE COLLINS

We're dropping some more beets this week on 10 Tracks, Sugar Beets. Originally from Denver, Valerie Collins who rides for the Sugar Beets has been in Fort Collins for 15 years. She's the friendly voice on the other end of the phone when you call Independent Plumbing Solutions. Another equal opportunity cyclist, Valerie rides all the bikes but prefers MTB.

10 TRACKS WITH DAN BURNETT

Ladies and gentlemen, I invite you to get to know Dan Burnett, our 10 Tracks DJ of the week. Dan is originally from Whippany NJ (one of my favorite city names). He's lived in Fort Collins for 22 years (hey, same as me!). He's a financial/divorce planner with Long Green Planning Group, and more importantly, at least for us, he's one of the founding board members of the Send Town Bike Club (the club behind New Belgium Short Track and Cyclocross).

10 TRACKS WITH HEIDI GUROV

Even though YGR focuses mostly on Northern Colorado Cycling, we do make exceptions for our neighbors to the North in Laramie and Cheyenne. They reluctantly let us Coloradoans use their trails, so it's the least we can do. This week's DJ is Heidi Gurov an equal opportunity cyclist (rides all the bikes) from Cheyenne. Heidi has been busy fighting COVID19 as a Nurse Consultant with the Wyoming Department of Health, Immunization Unit (thanks for that, Heidi). She races mtb, cross, gravel and road for Square1 Cycling.

10 TRACKS WITH TOM CARTER

The infamous Tom Carter is our DJ this week on 10 Tracks. Originally from Columbus, OH, Carter has been active in the Northern Colorado cycling scene for some 30 years. He's been a grassroots race promotor, perpetual volunteer, and racer. There are grainy photos on Facebook that prove he did indeed ride BMX, MTB's, 'cross, and even bikepacked back in the day. There are more recent photos of him mountain biking and gravel riding. Rumors suggest he's making a return to racing in 2021.
